Everything is Energy and Energy is Everything…
Where it all began…..
The morning after my first Healing Touch class, I found myself making the long drive home from Chicago with a very stuffy head and sinus congestion. While driving with one hand on the wheel, I used the other hand to do a technique that the Healing Touch program calls “Ultrasound” on my face. Suddenly I felt my sinus congestion break loose and I had to frantically search for the Kleenex in my glove box. This was the only “sign” I needed to let me know that I had to learn more about working with energy healing. I completed all 5 levels of the Healing Touch Program and then went on to become certified.
Shortly after becoming a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner in August 2008, I happened upon an article about Spring Forest Qigong. I traveled to Minnesota for a weekend level one and two class and was intrigued with the gentle qigong movements that are used to move our energy. I continued studying this ancient art and became a Spring Forest Qigong Level one and two teacher. Some of the personal benefits I've received from practicing qigong include lowering my blood pressure and blood sugar levels without the use of medication.
As a Healing Touch Practitioner and Spring Forest Qigong instructor, I help people remove blockages in their energy systems so that they may experience optimal health and well-being.
Wanting to learn more about energy healing, I traveled back to Minnesota to study with Cyndi Dale, the renowned author of many books on energy medicine. I completed the Cyndi's energy healing series of classes which are offered through Normandale Community College.
Next I began reading about acupressure. I could see the connection between the energy healing work I was doing and acupressure. I have completed the Seva Stress Release class and three other specialized acupressure technique classes from Soul Lightening Acupressure.
Another connection in this world of energy healing was made when I studied Qi~ssage with Chunyi Lin at Spring Forest Qigong. Qi~ssage is massage done on acupressure points.
As I studied various techniques of energy healing, I became passionate about my desire to share what I've learned with others.
In August 2013 I completed the necessary requirements to become a Master Healer with Spring Forest Qigong and re-certified as a Spring Forest Qigong level one and two instructor.
I practiced energy medicine for four years at the Dean Lake Delton Integrative Medicine Clinic before joining the Sky Blue Dreams Wellness Center in Oxford, WI.
Master Lin teaches that there is external qigong and internal qigong. External qigong is where we do healing work on others and internal qigong is when we are doing our qigong practice and therefore doing healing work on ourselves.
I believe that we must take responsibility for our health. We can’t turn our health challenges over to someone else to fix. The best way that I know to get healthy and to remain healthy, is to practice qigong regularly.
My intention is to teach as many people as I can the beautiful, gentle, movements of qigong so that they can be active participants on their healing journey.
Where I am now....
I began practicing Spring Forest Qigong in 2008 and did that style of qigong exclusively, for 8 1/2 years. Then I began to explore other qigong styles. While I enjoyed many of the new movements I learned, nothing resonated with me.
In April 2018, through the magic of the internet, I happened upon, Master Mingtong Gu and Wisdom Healing Qigong. This is what I have been looking for! Although the movements are very different, many of the teachings are very similar to what I learned through Chunyi Lin.
Wisdom Healing Qigong has helped me to take my personal qigong practice to a higher/deeper level. The Wisdom Healing Qigong training track that I am on is pretty intense, but I am enjoying it.
Please come to a qigong practice group and allow me to share this treasure I found.
Written on a cold and snowy day - January 28, 2019.....
I’ve successfully completed level one of Awakening Vitality and Lift Chi Up – Pour Chi Down and level one and two Sound Healing with Master Ming tong Gu of Wisdom Healing QiGong. While deciding what course to take next I happened upon on-line classes with Master Yuantong Liu. Master Liu’s classes worked better for me in a number of ways so I began studying with him the first of January, 2019.
Master Liu was a teacher at the medicine-less, hospital founded by Dr. Pang, for 10 years. In his classes Master Liu discusses more of the intricacies, the finer details, of the movements than Master Mingtong Gu did and this is what I desire at this time.
In between Spring Forest Qigong and my discovery of Zhineng Qigong, I experimented with a few different Qigong styles. None of them caught my attention the way Zhineng Qigong did. After my first on line practice session I knew that this is the Qigong for me and the one that I wanted to share with the world. I’ve experienced many physical and energetic changes since I began my daily practice of Zhineng Qigong. I am more flexible and my arms and legs are stronger. I sleep even better than I did before and feel a greater sense of peace.
Zhineng Qigong is Transformational!
Come to a practice group or a Qi Gathering and experience it for yourself.
